Basilica Santa Maria della Salute

Done on poster board using micron pens, this piece took the longest to complete and is my largest project to date. I chose the Basilica Santa Maria della Salute in Venice, Italy as my subject because of its striking Venetian Baroque details and its location along the Grand Canal.

Sketchbook Drawings

Here is a small sample of sketches from my sketchbooks over the years. I always keep one nearby!

Paintings

Here are a few paintings I completed in high school.

Still Life – Having never painted a still life before, I chose relatively simple subjects, focusing on creating contrast and harmony throughout the piece.

Painting on Leaves – My class collected leaves from a local park and painted directly on them.

Celebration, Florida – After visiting Celebration, Florida (a picturesque town near Orlando), I painted this scene from a reference photo using impressionistic techniques.

Collage

In Grade 11, I created this landscape collage using cutouts from old books and magazines. Driven by a love for fine detail, I built a scene of a charming Italian town nestled deep within the mountains.

Crochet Business & Community Art

Over the past few years, I’ve owned and operated my own crochet business, designing handmade products to sell at local craft fairs and holiday markets.

In 2023, I collaborated with Anishinaabe artist Keith Gattie and fellow YRDSB high school students on Kwiinwining — In the Community, a commemorative mural project for the City of Richmond Hill’s 150th birthday. Each painting in the series reflects our personal perspectives on community. The finished work is on permanent display at the Richmond Green Public Library.
